A Turkmen weightlifter has won a gold medal at the World Junior Championships

Turkmen weightlifter Ogulshat Amanova won a gold medal at the World Junior Weightlifting Championships in Cali, Colombia. The athlete, competing in the up to 53 kilogram weight category, recorded 86 kg in the snatch and 105 kg in the clean and jerk. She became champion with a total of 191 kg. In the same weight category, our athlete Shabnam Kerimbayeva recorded 83 kg in the snatch and 105 kg in the clean and jerk. In addition, she won a small silver medal in the ‘push’ event.
