Deepening regional cooperation and strengthening relations with Georgia are consistent with the objectives of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy.
In this regard, both countries share an interest in diversifying trade, developing modern transport infrastructure to ensure efficient freight transportation along the Caspian Sea–Black Sea route connecting Central Asia and Europe, combining the capabilities of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport and the Port of Poti, and exploring ways to bring Turkmen energy resources to international markets through Georgia’s transit capacity.
