The President of Turkmenistan received the UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan

The President of Turkmenistan received Ms Xiaojun Grace Wang, the newly appointed UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan. She presented her credentials to the Head of State.

Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, the diplomat said it was a great honour for her to meet with the President of Turkmenistan. Ms Xiaojun Grace Wang noted that, under the leadership of the Head of State, Turkmenistan is confidently advancing along the path of development and reform. Taking the opportunity, she conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of UN Secretary-General António Guterres to the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag.

The President of Turkmenistan sincerely congratulated Xiaojun Grace Wang on her appointment as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan and wished her every success in her responsible diplomatic mission aimed at further developing the effective relations established between Turkmenistan and the United Nations.

Conveying his best wishes to Secretary-General António Guterres, the President noted that Turkmenistan, whose legal status of permanent neutrality has been recognised three times by the United Nations, consistently develops relations with countries around the world and reputable international organisations.

Xiaojun Grace Wang said it was a great honour for her to represent the United Nations in Turkmenistan and assured that she would make every effort to further strengthen the established productive cooperation.
