The Turkmenhowayollary State Service has amended the “Procedure for Passing Through the Lounges for Specially Important Passengers and Important Passengers”

The Turkmenhowayollary State Service has introduced several amendments and additions to the “Procedure for Passing Through the Lounges for Specially Important Passengers and Important Passengers.”

The relevant order was officially registered by the Ministry of Adalat of Turkmenistan on July 21 of this year.

The amendments were made to the procedure originally approved in 2022 by the Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.

Under the new version, all references to the former Turkmenhowayollary Agency have been replaced with the name Turkmenhowayollary State Service due to a change in its organisational and legal status.

The list of persons entitled to use the lounge for specially important passengers has been clarified. The revised version separately identifies the Chairperson of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan. The Deputy Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan has also been added to the list.

At the same time, the words “Milli Gengesh” have been removed from the relevant appendix.

Officials of Arkadag City have also been added to the list of persons considered equivalent in status to the heads of the regions. This amendment applies to both the specially important passengers section and the important passengers section.

The official titles of transport-sector heads and their deputies included in the list of persons entitled to use the lounges have been restated.

In particular, the titles of the Minister of Motor Roads, the Minister of Railway Transport, the Minister of Motor Transport, the Minister of Communications, as well as the Chairperson of the State Service of Maritime and River Transport of Turkmenistan and their deputies have been presented in a new form.

The order was adopted in accordance with Article 30 of the Law of Turkmenistan “On Legal Acts” and signed by the Chairperson of the Turkmenhowayollary State Service.
