Türkiye to Ban Social Media Use for Children Under 15

Starting November 1, children under the age of 15 in Türkiye will be banned from using social media.

Additional safety measures will be introduced for teenagers aged 15 to 18. The new rules will also restrict the use of minors’ personal data.

It will also be prohibited to recommend teenagers’ accounts to other users.

Other countries are also introducing restrictions on children’s use of social media.
