The President of Turkmenistan sent a congratulatory message to the participants of the “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan — 2026” International Conference and Exhibition. It reads:

Dear participants of the International Conference and Exhibition!

I sincerely congratulate you on the opening of the “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan — 2026” International Conference and Exhibition, being held in our capital, Ashgabat, in the year “Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan — the Homeland of the Swift Steed of Dreams.”

This large-scale forum, which has become a good annual tradition, provides an opportunity to exchange views on priority areas for developing our country’s fuel and energy complex, ways to intensify mutually beneficial cooperation, and modern methods for upgrading the oil and gas industry.

The international conference and accompanying exhibition also provide an opportunity to become closely acquainted with innovations, modern developments, and new projects.

Our independent and permanently neutral Motherland, which possesses enormous hydrocarbon resources, directs its natural wealth not only toward national interests but also toward ensuring the well-being of the peoples of the region and the world.

Combining efforts in this area is one of the important conditions for achieving the ambitious goals that have been set.

Accordingly, diversifying the export potential of the fuel and energy complex, creating a multi-vector pipeline system, and strengthening logistics capacity are among the priorities of our state’s energy policy.

The “Galkynysh” gas field, which ranks among the world’s leading fields in terms of reserves, serves as a major resource base for diversifying the supply of Turkmen natural gas to international markets.

The gas field is being developed in stages and on a program-based basis. The launch in April of this year of the fourth stage of industrial development of the “Galkynysh” gas field became an event of historic significance.

This major project has become an important step toward the further development of our country and increasing the volume of natural gas supplied abroad.

At present, our country attaches great importance to expanding natural gas export routes. One of the important projects in this area is the Turkmenistan — Afghanistan — Pakistan — India gas pipeline.

The construction of this major gas pipeline is aimed at ensuring energy security in the region and promoting the well-being and prosperity of the peoples of neighboring and regional countries.

The fact that construction of the Serhetabat — Herat gas pipeline, an important stage of the project known as “Arkadagyň ak ýoly,” has reached its final phase in the year “Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan — the Homeland of the Swift Steed of Dreams” clearly demonstrates the significant progress being made in this area.

Licensed offshore blocks located in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea are also being successfully developed.

Mutually beneficial cooperation with leading international oil and gas companies has been carried out in this area for 30 years. We will continue implementing such projects in the future.

Dear participants of the International Conference and Exhibition!

Extensive work is being carried out in our country to discover new oil and gas condensate fields, increase their commercially recoverable reserves, improve the effectiveness of geological exploration, and develop oil and gas deposits.

Effective cooperation with foreign companies has been established in this field.

The “National Strategy for the Industrial Development of Turkmenistan for 2030 — 2045,” adopted in our country as it comprehensively diversifies its economy and develops into a powerful industrial state, sets out objectives aimed at processing hydrocarbon resources and producing high-quality, environmentally friendly products.

In implementing these tasks, broad international cooperation is being carried out to strictly comply with environmental requirements, protect the environment, and reduce the impact of harmful emissions.

Independent and permanently neutral Turkmenistan will continue to provide broad opportunities to all parties interested in equal and mutually beneficial cooperation.

All necessary conditions will be created for foreign businesses to invest in promising projects.

Therefore, I firmly believe that the International Conference and Exhibition, being held at a high level for the 31st time this year, will play an important role in the exchange of experience between our national specialists and foreign partners, as well as in establishing and developing large-scale cooperation in the future.
