Ants Can Detect Cancer Through Urine
Researchers at Sorbonne Paris Nord University have found that ants are capable of detecting signs of cancer in human urine by smell.
It was already known that some types of cancer can alter the odor of urine, but scientists have now confirmed for the first time that ants can recognize these distinctive changes.
According to experts, the insects’ ability to detect disease by smell is linked to their highly developed and sensitive olfactory system.
