AI Could Pose a Greater Threat in the Future, Researchers Say
A leading safety researcher at the U.S.-based AI company Anthropic has said that artificial intelligence is advancing extremely rapidly and that there is more than a 10% chance it could become more dangerous to people within the next decade.
In a post on X, Evan Hubinger said that while the risk posed by current models is “low,” he is concerned that the technology could develop and improve itself rapidly, potentially creating an extremely serious threat to humanity. The statement is among the latest strong warnings related to AI.
