Turkmen representatives took part in an international scientific and practical conference held in the Republic of Uzbekistan
Representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan recently took part in the international scientific and practical conference entitled “Independent Uzbekistan: 35 Years of Development, Reforms, Achievements and Future Opportunities,” held in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan. The conference program included a plenary session and thematic sections covering various areas.
During the conference, key issues of modern development were discussed with the participation of leading international experts, scholars and parliamentary representatives. The thematic sessions focused on important areas of strengthening statehood and economic stability.
Under the themes “Modern Parliament: Economic Transformation, Attracting Investment and Inclusive Economic Growth,” “Human Capital and Social Policy: Priorities of Inclusive Development and Parliamentary Experience,” and “Environmental Sustainability and the ‘Green’ Economy: Water Security, Climate Change Adaptation and Transformation of the Aral Sea Region,” participants heard presentations on the role of legislative bodies in promoting economic development and improving the investment climate, maintaining environmental stability in the region, introducing green technologies and ensuring the rational use of water resources.
At the conclusion of the international scientific and practical conference, a final plenary session entitled “Priorities of Reforms: Strategic Results, Practical Recommendations and Promising Tasks” featured reports on the areas discussed during the thematic sections. New proposals aimed at further strengthening regional and international cooperation were also considered.
