The President of Turkmenistan congratulated the participants of the scientific and practical conference “Protection of the Caspian Sea Ecosystem: Regional Cooperation and Sustainable Development” on Caspian Sea Day.

In his congratulatory message, the President of Turkmenistan noted that the Caspian Sea is known throughout the world as a sea of peace, friendship and good-neighbourly cooperation, emphasizing that its unique natural features, rich biodiversity and economic significance make it an invaluable asset.
The President of Turkmenistan stated that the country attaches particular importance to international cooperation aimed at ensuring the environmental well-being of the Caspian Sea.
He also noted that the first Caspian Environmental Forum, held in 2012 in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, became a concrete manifestation of initiatives in this area.
The President of Turkmenistan stated that the first Caspian Economic Forum, held in 2019 in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, opened new opportunities for developing trade and economic relations among the Caspian littoral states, while the Sixth Caspian Summit, held in Ashgabat in 2022, became an important event in determining the future directions of regional cooperation.
The President of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of the scientific and practical conference held on the occasion of Caspian Sea Day for preserving the sea’s natural resources, conducting scientific research, ensuring environmental well-being and developing friendly relations among the Caspian littoral states. He wished the conference participants good health and success in their work.
