The FIFA World Cup final will take place today, with Spain and Argentina competing for the title

The 2026 FIFA World Cup final will be held on July 20, 2026, at MetLife Stadium in New York/New Jersey. Kick-off is scheduled for midnight Ashgabat time.

This is the tournament’s biggest match, the one for which 48 national teams battled through the group stage, the knockout rounds and 38 days of top-level football. Two finalists. One trophy. No room for error and no second chance.

MetLife Stadium is the largest venue of the 2026 World Cup, with a capacity of around 82,000 spectators. It was here in July 1994 that the previous World Cup final in the United States took place, when Brazil defeated Italy in a penalty shootout.

Thirty-two years later, the stadium will once again host the decisive match. History likes to return to the places where it has already been made.
