Our Hero Leader met with the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahat of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow met with the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mikail Jabbarov, who arrived in the country on a visit. Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to meet and for the hospitality extended on Turkmen soil, Mikail Jabbarov stated that Azerbaijan highly values the relations developing between the two countries in various fields. Taking the opportunity, the guest conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, to the Hero Arkadag. The guest also noted that each time he visits the country, he witnesses the rapid socio-economic development of Turkmenistan, and the architectural appearance of the capital leaves a great impression on him. Thanking for the kind words, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, in turn, expressed his best wishes to the President of Azerbaijan and emphasized the importance of the consistently developing bilateral relations between the two friendly countries. The Hero Arkadag drew attention to the fact that Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan, as neighboring countries, conduct their cooperation based on traditional principles of mutual respect. In this regard, it was noted that the high-level talks held during the National Leader's visits to Azerbaijan opened important pages in Turkmen-Azerbaijan relations. As emphasized during the meeting, Turkmenistan attaches great importance to developing friendly, brotherly, and good-neighborly relations with Azerbaijan. Our countries are bound by common historical and cultural traditions, mutual respect, and close spiritual values. Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan successfully cooperate both bilaterally and multilaterally, including within international organizations, primarily the UN. The regular dialogue at the highest state level drives the advancement of bilateral cooperation, creating favorable conditions for effective interaction. The Hero Arkadag noted the significance of the recent state visit of the Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedow to the Republic of Azerbaijan and, taking the opportunity, once again expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani side for the ship "Dostluk" ("Friendship") presented as a gift to the Turkmen people. The cultural and humanitarian dimension occupies an important place on the agenda of Turkmen-Azerbaijan relations. In this regard, it was noted that the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in the cities of Baku and Ganja, as well as the Days of Culture of Azerbaijan in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, were held at a high level. The Chairman of the Halk Maslahat of Turkmenistan noted that preparations are underway to hold the international event "Nature is Mother" at a high level in Turkmenistan from October 19 to November 30 of this year. The event is jointly organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care. This will help further strengthen cooperation between the two foundations. At the conclusion of the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, and the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mikail Jabbarov, expressed confidence that interstate relations would be further strengthened, and wished each other robust health, happiness, and continued success in their endeavors.
